Fallängetorp is an organic farmhouse that works under the slogan “Languous for All” and has opened its farm with accommodation and activities. Nature and Kulturleden on Fallängetorp is a 3km joint that runs through a diverse landscape along the gravel road and winding woodlands. The hiking trail is accessible with clear signs and the easy-to-walk substrate makes it possible to arrive even with a Zoom Uphill which is available to book on the farm. If you have trouble moving in forests and soils, please hear from you and they will tell you more about the Zoom and your opportunity together.
You park at Mellangården, the farm’s one accommodation, where the trail starts and ends. At the beginning of the trail you will receive an introduction to the farm and its inhabitants and outside You can check out the first information point, the upper maritime border of the Inland Sea. You follow the signs away along the gravel road through the courtyard and its historical development until you follow the trail into the forest.
The trail is chipped and well-recognized for you to feel calm and harmonious on your walk. You follow the trail’s winding road past Solitary Aspen, Wild Water, Kolbottnar, Raävrytet and many other both historical and nature-oriented information points. You will find many different tree species, mosses, lichens, remains and bookmarks for various animals and much more.
It could be written a whole book on the wildlife of our forest where biodiversity is very large, but we have chosen to focus on a few different points of information. At each location there is a sign with an image that shows its contents and some text in both Swedish and English. If you want to read more, there is a QR code on each sign to get to a page with more and in-depth information about the particular subject. There will also be information for those who would rather listen to the text.
Directions
**Description **
If you run on GPS, you can hit “Fallängetorp for bars and people” or “Fallänge 115, 775 96 Krylbo, Sala”. It is not in Krylbo but we have the postal address Krylbo.
From Sala, take road 70 to Mora. After you have passed the entrance to Broddbo with petrol, you have five minutes of driving time until you turn left to Salbohed and Hedåker. Next, take the second exit to Hedåker and Västerbykil and follow the curvy country road "fight forward" for about 7 km, take the left at sign Fallänge 1 and Fallängetorp with cabin symbol. You should go about 1 km on our way and turn right at
sign to the Middle-earth.
Regulations
There is a barbecue site at the end of the trail where you can get grill if weather and restrictions allow it. Grill packages are available to pre-order in the Fallängetorp farm shop.
No debris can be thrown anywhere along the trail, in the woods or in the parking lot. There is a trash at the middle ground.
Communications
You can travel by bus or train to Sala or Avesta. Krylbo. From there you can order a taxi or for longer stays with us you can book a pickup from us.
