After 3.5 km you will reach a bro that will take you across the famous Svartån. The black toe is the pulse and heart of the Svartådalen and is a major cause of the enormous natural richness that exists here. Every year, Svartån floods over and contributes to a vast wetland area that is raising diversity and life. Bird watchers are attracted to this beautiful area to enjoy the rich bird life.
Shortly after you pass the Svartån, you will reach the area of Hedbo and then you will mostly move in the forest landscape on the road to Mattssons Torn. You will alternately walk on graveled forest roads and natural forest trails. Just before Mattson’s Torn you will find a [water source] (https:/www.naaturkartan.se/sv/vastmanlands-lan/coldwater-langs-blackadalsleden) and a [wind protection] (https:/www.naaturkartan.se/sv/vastmanlands-lan/wind protection-by) where you can either break or stay for an overnight stay.
